We all love a great granola bar, and making your own means you can put whatever ingredients in that you’d like. Here is one of my go-to’s that takes only a few minutes to put together.
Ingredients:
Dry Ingredients:
1 ½ cups oatmeal
¼ cup ground flax seed
⅓ cup pumpkin seeds
⅓ cup raisins
½ cup sliced almonds
⅓ cup dried cranberries
½ cup dark chocolate chips (I chop mine up so they’re a bit finer)
Protein powder (optional)
Wet Ingredients:
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
½ cup honey/agave nectar
Process:
[one]: Mix all dry ingredients together (except for ¼ cup chocolate chips) until well dispersed
[two]: Mix in peanut butter and honey until mixture is combined
[three]: Press into pan lined with parchment paper, sprinkle rest of chocolate chips on top of the granola bars and store covered overnight in fridge or on kitchen countertop
[four]: Remove from pan, cut and enjoy!
[five]: Store in sealed container between sheets of parchment or wax paper in fridge or freezer.
